Friendship Bay

Friendship Bay is a Worcester bumper winner under Timmy Murphy.

He has been plagued by niggly injuries and because of his size has been difficult to train but his welfare has always been paramount.

He ran at Aintree on 15 June 2012, in a 2m 4f Novices' Hurdle with Timmy Murphy aboard and ran well for a long way before a mistake at the third last flight cost him dear but he did stay on in good style to get in the places.

He returned from an absence of 1,655 days on Boxing Day at Market Rasen on Boxing Day which was a 2m 148yd Selling Handicap Hurdle with James Banks aboard and ran a cracker being in contention for a place over the last and just being run out of the prize money when finishing 5th at 20/1.

His last run was in a 2m 3yd Selling Handicap Hurdle at Fakenham on 17 February 2017 with James Banks again on the saddle and he finished 4th at 8/1, travelling well for a long way but a mistake at the third last cost him valuable ground but he stayed on right to the line without being able to get to the leaders in a fast run contest.

He finished in 6th at 12/1 at Warwick on 1 May 2017 which was a 2m 3f Handicap Hurdle for Conditional Jockeys' with Mitchell Bastyan aboard.
