• We have two new horses in the yard, French De Guye who is a 3yo half brother to Prophete De Guye and Roc De Guye and Connetable, both are owned by Elegant Clutter and Simon Faiers in partnership.

Most of the horses in the yard are cantering at present as we wait for the autumn when the ground will have eased.

It's easy starts for the yard at present in the heatwave as we work in the cooler conditions in early morning.

We will be busy when the autumn arrives.

Friendship Bay has been retired and will remain in the yard with Desilvano who has also been retired will be going to a good home at Malvern in the next few weeks.

  • The firm ground continues to limit our entries as we wait for the rain to arrive to ease the ground.

We don't have any entries until 4 August at the earliest.

  • We have entry in the next week which is Okmyway in the Stratford 6.30 on Wednesday 3 July which is a 2m 7yd Maiden Hurdle.

  • The ground is still too firm for me to declare any of our recent entries.

We have two entries at Stratford on Tuesday in the same race, Lord Getaway and Okmyway which is a 2m 2f 148yd Mare's Handicap Hurdle at 2.20.

I will check out the going before deciding whether to declare on Monday.

  • In addition to Southwell on Tuesday, Lord Getaway has an entry in the Aintree 5.45 on Friday 15 June which is a 2m 4f Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle.

Also entered at Aintree is Malindi Bay in the 8.55 which is a 2m 4f Novices' Hurdle.
